Teams around the NFL are making moves to trim rosters to 75 players by Tuesday's deadline and the Patriots still have 10 to make.

While the Patriots will make those moves they could also consider some additions based on some of the players who have come available.

Considering where depth is thin or where there are questions about the players at the position here are a few recently-released players that piqued my interest who might be of interest:

LB Ronnell Lewis -- A fourth-round draft choice of the Lions in 2012 he was considered a defensive end/linebacker "tweener" coming out of Oklahoma. The Lions are going with bigger ends this year and Lewis (6-2 253) seems like he got caught up in that transition a bit. Probably would fit best in the linebacker/special teams mix in New England. Patriots look strong in their top five at the position but if they felt Lewis had some solid traits to be developed can always make room for talent.

DL Frank Okam -- Six-year veteran signed with the Giants after a May tryout after not playing in 2012. The fact he's been in a camp and thus is in good enough physical condition to compete has some value. He's 6-foot-5 and 350 pounds and could address some depth concerns behind Vince Wilfork and Tommy Kelly. Has been with the Texans Seahawks Buccaneers and Giants since entering the league as a fifth-round draft choice in 2008.
