The Los Angeles Angels and Toronto Blue Jays were trade partners on Tuesday.

The Halos acquired catcher Juan Graterol, and the Blue Jays are set to receive either cash considerations or a player to be named later in exchange. As a result of the transaction, Los Angeles designated outfielder Ryan LaMarre for assignment to clear up space on the 40-man roster.

It’s a return to the Angels system for Graterol, whose MLB debut came with the organization last season during the early stages of September. A victim of DFAs and waiver claims, the 28-year-old catcher was picked up by Toronto in January, but was recently designated for assignment last Friday.
