Ichiro Suzuki turned in his biggest day in pinstripes Wednesday, but he was only the second-biggest hit at Yankee Stadium.

Andy Pettitte made a triumphant return from the disabled list in the first half of the day-night doubleheader, tossing five scoreless innings to lead the Yankees to a 4-2 win over the Blue Jays.

Ichiro helped polish off the Jays in the nightcap, collecting four hits - including the game-winning RBI single off lefty Aaron Loup in the eighth inning - to lift the Bombers to a 2-1 victory that completed the sweep.

"They were vital in both wins for us," Joe Girardi said. "Ich was healthy and we knew he could be huge for us when we traded for him, but to get Andy back in your rotation is very important I think as we go down the stretch here."
