Jrue Holiday waited until he got home from attending the Flyers game Thursday night to truly celebrate the news that he was named an NBA All-Star for the first time in his career.
The league's coaches voted him onto the Eastern Conference roster as a reserve.
"I was damn near jumping for joy," the fourth-year 76ers point guard said after practice Friday. "Who really gets to be an all-star? How many people really get to say they're an all-star? Like, seriously? It's crazy. All my friends who are back home are texting me and it's like, people I haven't talked to in a long time are texting me. A lot of people are proud of me. I'm glad I can represent Philly and represent my family."
