Dennis Allen plans on being the Raiders head coach in 2014, and said Monday that he'd like to keep his staff largely intact.

A league source has indicated that the Raiders are willing to keep coordinators Greg Olson and Jason Tarver, although some position coaches might not be retained.

In a matter that might complicate Allen’s desire to keep the staff together, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported on Twitter Wednesday that the Raiders are offering assistants not locked in for 2014 one-year contracts instead of a standard two-year deal.

That could set up a make-or-break year in 2014.

CSN Bay Area reported on Monday that general manager Reggie McKenzie recommended Allen be retained next season. Owner Mark Davis and his beleaguered head coach are expected to meet Monday at the earliest. Davis is expected to tell Allen he’ll return, but the owner could change his mind.
