Deputies say the woman who accused San Francisco Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval of sexual assault is a 21-year-old woman who lives in Santa Cruz County.

The woman met 25-year-old Sandoval in downtown Santa Cruz and went with him and a small group of other people to Seascape Resort in Aptos early Friday, deputies said.

She reported the allegations about 4:30 a.m. and said they occurred at the resort, deputies said.
