Before Wednesday's game, Angels first baseman Albert Pujols sent word that he'd like to continue a conversation he and Yoenis Céspedes started the previous evening when Céspedes was on first base.

So Céspedes, the A's Cuban rookie, took some time before batting practice to talk to the Angels' $240 million star - and then Céspedes showed why Pujols might seek him out for a chat, drilling a three-run homer in the first inning, his fourth blast of the season. Céspedes' 12 RBIs lead the A's and place him among the league leaders.
