The New York Giants have released running back Ahmad Bradshaw and defensive tackle Chris Canty, according to various reports published via Twitter.

Speculation had been brewing since earlier on Wednesday that the Giants were going to part ways with the oft-injured veteran.

Bradshaw had two years remaining on a four-year contract. He was due $3.75 million in 2013 and $4 million next season.

Bradshaw, who gained 1,015 yards rushing in 2012, was spotted last week at the Super Bowl in New Orleans riding around in a motorized scooter following another surgery on his troublesome feet. Bradshaw had suffered broken bones in his feet on at least three occasions since 2009.
