Free-agent forward Earl Clark concluded two days of meetings with the Cavaliers front office and coaches on Wednesday. His agent, Kevin Bradbury, told Sporting News, “Earl was impressed. It was a really good visit.”

No formal offer was made, but the sides are expected to talk again in the next couple of days. In the meantime, the Lakers have shown continued interest in bringing back Clark, who showed promise in Mike D’Antoni’s system.

An additional suitor can be added to the mix, too—the Clippers, who are looking to bolster their depth with younger, versatile talent. Clark is comfortable in Los Angeles and would not be opposed to staying in the city.

Clark showed the ability to play small forward and power forward with the Lakers last year while starting 36 games. His ability to fill in at either position gives him added value, and he averaged 7.3 points and 5.5 rebounds in 23.1 minutes per game.
