Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is scheduled to appear on this week's episode of NBC-TV's "The Office."

Rodgers is to play a judge in a singing competition.

The episode is to air at 8 p.m. Thursday on WTMJ-TV (Channel 4) in the Milwaukee market.

In the last few years on his weekly radio show, Rodgers has expressed a desire to to host "Saturday Night Live" on NBC, but so far that invitation has not been extended.

Two seasons ago, Rodgers was a guest analyst when NBC had Super Bowl XLVI. Rodgers appeared on the network's pre-game show with former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward.

Rodgers has appeared in a number of television ads most notably for State Farm Insurance, Pizza Hut and Ford Trucks.

The Packers recently signed Rodgers to a $110 million contract extension, $54 million of which is guaranteed.
