RHP Trevor Cahill walked a tightrope but won his second consecutive start, pitching into the seventh inning to lead the Diamondbacks to a win over the Miami Marlins on Friday night.

Cliff Pennington lined a solo home run off the left-field foul pole and Aaron Hill launched a two-run blast, the three first-inning runs amounting to all the offense the Diamondbacks could muster.

It turned out to be all they needed, as Cahill and his bullpen worked out of jams to preserve the win.
