Jimmy Rollins' 2007 season was one of the best and most exciting that these eyes have seen in a whole lot of years covering baseball.

From his brash "We're the team to beat comment," to his 20th triple in the division-clinching game on the final day of the regular season, Rollins was a joy to watch play the game.

As memorable that MVP season was, it turned out to be somewhat of a curse for Rollins. From that season forward, he was going to be measured against his performance in 2007, and that was going to be difficult, if not impossible, to duplicate.

That's why it's called a career year.
