The New York Islanders are in negotiations with the Barclays Center to remain in Brooklyn for at least a few more years, according to Nick Kypreos.

Reports in January and February claimed the arena owners wanted the team out after the 2018-19 season because it believes more revenue could be generated by concerts and other events.

Kypreos said during Hockey Night In Canada’s Headlines segment on Saturday that things have changed and concerns the Islanders could be left “homeless” are premature.
