For Adam Dunn, a strained right oblique couldn't have occurred at a worse time.

"I've been waiting for this September to come around, this playoff atmosphere sort of thing, and something stupid like this happens,'' Dunn said.

Obliques have a way of not being OK for longer than a day. Dunn strained his on a checked swing during the game Wednesday in Baltimore. He winced and wobbled a couple of times Friday during the White Sox' 7-4 loss to the Tigers.
