The first weekend of this year’s men’s NCAA Tournament was a bit of a dud. Sure, there were some entertaining games, crap officiating and upsets over the four days. But there weren’t any iconic buzzer beater shots to decide a teams fate - there was an buzzer beating 3-pointer to cover, thank you OSU.
While March Madness 2017 hasn’t given us any iconic moments, some students at UNC Charlotte took it upon themselves to give us a highlight with an incredible no-look paper ball shot.

The shot itself is impressive, as is the teamwork to get the paper ball over to him – ball movement is key to any successful modern offense – and doing all of this without the teacher knowing. but the celebration is the real star of this video. Who wears a luchador mask in class?
That isn’t to say there wasn’t an incredible buzzer beater from the courts this weekend, it just wasn’t from the men’s basketball tournament. Enter Maryland Terrapins guard Destiny Slocum, who took an inbounds pass and used two hands to create this highlight.
