This is a classic example of Chicago Cubs fans pretending to know more than they actually do. Every fan base has this type of person...the guy sitting in front of you who thinks he knows every single potential prospect all the way down to rookie ball.

The good folks at Redeye Chicago and TheSportsBank.net took to the streets and engaged some Cubs fans in conversation about some of the club's best up-and-coming players. The only problem was that the players that they talked about were 100% fake.

This is a classic on-the-street prank formula made popular by Jimmy Kimmel and it always works for entertainment value.

The fact is, the Cubbies have so many prospects that will be playing in Wrigley over the next two seasons that these people are just thinking that they've missed someone and didn't want to look stupid. Turns out they looked stupid anyway.

Just substitute in some different names and you have a powerhouse in the making:

Ron Leta ---> Javier Baez
Jason Yatung ---> Kris Bryant
Don Essex III ---> Addison Russell
Mark Faea ---> Albert Almora
Doug Yelouf ---> Arismendy Alcantara

Add these five names to the existing young core in Chicago (led by National League HR leader Anthony Rizzo), keep developing minor league monsters, spend on pitching in free agency. Boom. Win the division within two years and keep the success rolling for many years to come.

Break out the shades, Cubs fans...the future is bright.
